Science Based Ingredients:
- Lactobacillus acidophilus (La-14): This bacterial strain is naturally found within your intestines and works to enhance sugar digestion and cholesterol balance [1,2]. This strain supports mucosal defenses and gut function by releasing lactic acid and hydrogen peroxide, which neutralize damaging dietary toxins and supports the suppression of “bad” bacteria [3.4].
- Lactobacillus rhamnosus (Lr-32): Since this bacterial strain can withstand the extreme pH ranges within your body, it is uniquely positioned to thrive within your gut [5]. By nourishing your healthy gut flora, rhamnosus supports the strength of your gut barrier, which defends against diarrhea and abdominal symptoms [6]. This feature is especially important when taking antibiotics, as they strip the intestinal mucosa of their protective bacterial defenders. L. rhamnosus may also help to build defenses against certain gut-mediated allergies [7].
